So i got this truck may of 2013.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406038085.488732.jpg

Its a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500HD 4x4 quad cab long bed with the 5.7 HEMI.

A couple months later I took off the cap to sell but I liked the idea of the ability to keep things away from the elements so I bought a Husky tool box. Its an aluminum diamond plate box and matches the aluminum bed rails i got at the same time.

Well that was all good and dandy until my father backed into it with the trailer and dented the right front quarter

Later on down the road i completely blew out my exhaust right behind the cat so i went ahead and put a 3" pipe to a flomaster 50 series into a wye and out two 3" stainless steel tips.

So i went all winter without doing anything because this winter sucked and girls cost money too but finally in the spring i got an S&B CAI for it and she started to run pretty nice.

Well by now i really started coming down with a sickness for mods and, as most of you know, theres almost no turning back from there.

In may i had the tranny rebuilt and a larger torque converter put in only to be told by my mechanic that the tranny pressure wasnt right so i had to get a tuner. Oh no :)

Well after putting it off a year, the diablosport and a custom made tune went in and my goodness, did this thing wake right up. I recommend a tuner to literally everybody.

Well i obviously like the way its running but the way it looks was the next task.
Some of you may knock on it but i went ahead and plasti dipped the rims, badges, and headlight bezels.

So that was good for the time being. My headlight was next to go and instead of replacing the bulb for $10, i used it as an excuse to buy new lights so i got a set of Spyder smoked projectors with halos and LEDs and all that fun stuff.

They looked absolutely awesome BUT they sucked. Didnt light the road, halos were like cheap glowsticks and the leds were 'just there' if you know what i mean. So i sent em back and put the OEM ones back in.

Then i did some more dip on the rockers and hood just add a little somethin somethin to it.

Sorry not the greatest pic but its there.

Today, i sit here having to do something to improve this plasti dip (because its not original), needing to replace the rubber in a few months, wanting a lift, and debating a gear swap.

But here it is today and i think the mud helps a little.

If you want better headlights get with Jeremy at Retro Shop: Retro Shop Online Store

He is real good, and has some killer setups for lights. Plus the output with what he offers is better than anything else on the market.

Well i spoke to my mechanic friend about adding boost to my motor when i rebuild. Basically ended with a quote for a supercharged 6.1 with all forged internals and all those pretty things. Says it should be 700+ hp at the flywheel and 550 or so rwhp.

Time to stop all projects and save all money!! Lol

I wish they were bigger but thats the side of me that wants it to look good. The other side, my performance side, is what made me buy them.

Im the end ill get 35s but only after the engine build, gears, and suspension system. Till then ill be rockin these 33s

So i was reading around on thursday and stumbled across a thread about dirty throttle bodies so today i went ahead and took it apart and cleaned it up a bit. Just waiting for the cpu and tune to get used to it. Hopefully itll be a little better on power and, god willing, a little better mpgs

Oooo Not horrible, But a Catch Can will do wonders in the long run. Perfect time to clean, polish and do some TB mods if you had plans on it. Maybe replace with an upgraded one ?

Yeah at this point, with nearly 130k on it, im not gonna bother with a catch can. The next on will most certainly get it tho. I clean the TB up a bit and put it back on. Didnt see too much gain but more refinement. Gonna save the tb till next motor. Cant really do an 89mm till forced induction or headers and both will be on the 6.1 and an 87mm wont work with those. So im just gonna save it till the next set up. Kinda putting off most engine stuff till then.

Next step is the dana 80 / dana 70 axles with 4.56s
