I want to tint the front windows of my truck. I bought black magic tint from wal-mart but it was like a charchole color and I want black so I will be returning it. I would like to have it match the factory tint on my 2004 which I believe is 20% correct me if I'm wrong.
Anyway what are some good brands that you guys have used for your truck. I don't want like a mirror look either I want it to match the factory tint. Thamks

Not sure which brands to suggest but I 100% agree with blackout11! Get it done professionally! I tried to tint my windows last summer and I didn't even finish one window before I said f**k it... And I am a patient person!! Some people have a knack for tinting and some do not. It's not something you learn how to do overnight that's for sure!

Need food tints for my windows

I agree with getting it done professionally. You'll get a warranty and most are guaranteed not to fade or turn purple like a lot of the "over-the-counter" stuff does. I had my two front windows done for $80. But that was a few years ago, and in Texas where trucks are the standard.

From my understanding, the tint at professional shops is different than what you can buy at walmart. It's a higher quality that lasts longer and stands up to more. The people I've seen tint their own windows order the tint online, it costs more than walmart but you get what you pay for.

That would be the route I would go if tinting my own windows, but like mentioned above, going to a shop will save hassle.

yea I know it is btter to bring it to a shiop but I always like to try and learn things on my own bc I love working on my truck and have the satisfaction of doing it myself.

If someone could do you think you can measure the front windows with the horizontal and verticle length?
I would like to know how big they are so I know how much film to buy and still have enough to to the top of the winshield.
That would be greatly appreciated thanks

Go on eBay and get a computer cut tint deal. Saves the hassle of having to cut the film. I also tried tinting my own windows...never again, lol

20 percent will be pretty close to match the stock, but not sure on a good brand. I have always paid to have a tint shop do my tint

Yea I was just wondering what the height of the windows are because I can alway buy one that is about 24 in wide so i might have enough room where I can cut off a big strip for the front of the winshield

I am not sure weather to get a roll thats 30"x78" or one thats 40"x70". The 40"x70" will give me enough extra to do the winshield strip but 70" will cut it close I think for the length. But I think 30 in would cut it close for the winshield strip and give me pleanty for the length of both front windows. I am just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone you know. I am going to spend like $50 a roll I dont want to buy another just to do the winshield strip you know
