Hello,

I just recently purchased a Mint 2019 Laramie Quad Cab 4x4 with 14000 miles. Really like the truck except a couple items. #1 it sets to low, I’m not a Mall Crawler person, but I would like to add a couple inches of clearance to the truck, for bigger tires, The stock Bridgestone’s totally suck on pavement and dirt, the lift is so I can crawl under it without jacking it up and clear larger AT tires. #2 the ride quality is nice but coming from 11 years with a Raptor, the cornering SUCKs, to much lean in the corners.

So here is what I’m asking for help with. How to properly raise the truck two to three inches in the rear and 1 to 2 inches in the front. Don’t want to put undue pressure on the drive train or do anything that will void my extended warranty. Also once lifted, I want to try and stiffen up the suspension to stop the lean in the corners without totally sacrificing too much of the ride quality.

Yeah, I know the Ram has front and rear sway bars, the Raptor only had front, so I’m hoping the coils spring suspension is doable without replacing the sway bars, but who know.

A little insight as to why! Yeah, the Raptor spoiled me and I don’t consider or hope the Ram will be come one, but I live in the back wood hills of West Virginia. Different types of weather conditions at a moments notice, squirrely two lane mountain roads paved and unpaved. Right now in these kind of conditions the Truck isn’t making it. I hope to be able to make some adjustments too make the truck work for me, if not I’ll be forced sell it.

Thanks for your help,

Regards

Tony

doh, sorry. Now I see 4x4, @CincyZach has a 5th gen lifted, maybe he can help guide you.
Doesn't look like he wants to do quite as much as I've done and not looking to with a 6" lift. From what I see on here on the forum I would think some Bilstein shocks for a little lift, Hellwig sway bar, and Core 4x4 end links to help with the lean would be a good place to start. I would suggest getting with Nick@GotExhaust as he is a vender on here that can get you the best price for your needs and can give you solid advise. Hope this helps Highroller62.

If you don't want to miss your Raptor suspension setup that much and and want to have a full front/rear 2.5 CO/shock displacement Fox or King have 2.5 Coilovers and shocks that will provide 1.5-2.5 of lift in the front depending on what option you have stock.

Factory ORP rear coil springs or Eibach E30-27-011-02-02 will provide 1" extra in the back if yours didn't come with the ORG/ORP coils. Eibach will hold a little more weight than the factory ORP's so that's a better choice. any of the 4th gen UCA's will fit your truck and because both Fox or King use longer than stock CO's you want UCA's that can use the extra travel. I'll recommend Icon Delta Joints, JBA or Total Chaos Uniballs, Camburg also has a set for the 4th gen. Still not clear why some of the vendors haven't updated their listing. Icon uses exactly the same uca part for the 4th or 5th so you know they fit like a glove. Again the main difference is that not all can provide the extra droop you'll need with some of the extended front travel options for instance, Fox extended travel for your truck is 883-06-166, while standard travel is 883-06-165, standard travel is 1" longer than your stock struts so should fit the more standard HD aftermarket UCA's, (Zone, BDS or anything that uses a Moog style BJ), Delta joints, JBA's or any of the Uniballs that is not mounted in stock arms lenght/offset (Fabtec UCA's are uniball but factory offset/lenght) will work with the Fox 2.5" extended travel droop. Kings are extended travel as well.

If you're not looking for that type of performance, then you have the usual 5100's front and rear for a more streetable option, 6112's with 5160's for a little more offroad oriented truck, both are stock lenght so no need for a UCA up to 2", nice to have with 2.8". Falcon also have a kit for your truck (2.25 displacement) that uses your factory springs and this You can use the same rear springs i mentioned above to get your 1" in the back. Falcon are extended travel so plan your aftermarket UCA accordingly.
You also a Mopar kit for 2" and comes with everything, Fox 2.0 shocks front and rear, they gve you a spacer for the front and back. they're stock lenght and they give you a UCA that is literally the same time you have now just with a tiny bit more angle at full droop.

My 0.02 cents.
