need some ideas

I need some ideas on my truck. So far I am thinking towhooks, mopar fog lights, mopar cab clerance lights, and a scanning light bar in the back. I want bigger tires, and I think these factory steelies might have to go, but I like OEM wheels over Made in China aftermarket wheels. I really don't want to modify the susepnsion, I like the current ride, I have had jeeps, and other hard riding trucks. This truck rides great. It is a work truck, but it can have a bit of style. Should I go with another wheel, or just put 285-70 r17's on it. This is a tradesman so the steelies are 17x8. The only thing I am not a huge ran of is what is in the wheel well right now.

Possibly look into getting a set of factory 20" for it. Then a set of JJ's lights to tone down the front a bit(black retros). Tow hooks are always handy.

yea man go from so bigger and better rubber and the possibilities are endless. deff sounds good with the ideas you have going but how about a retro with JJ, will change the truck up completely. also could look into converting it to a sport/express and it would look pretty sick but now we are getting into serious money. and do you plan on preformance upgrades??

Honestly, no performance upgrades planned, I bought it to be a work truck /family hauler. The new 4.7's are quick enough, but if I cared about speed, I would have gotten an express. I cared more about 4x4, ram box, spray in liner, tow package, tow mirrors, and trailer brake controller, and keeping it in my price range. I got the truck for $26,000, so I think I did well. I didn't want painted bumpers, because they get scratched, I had an 04 Dakota SXT with this material bumper, all you do is armorall the scratches out, it is great. I had an 06 ram hemi big horn, w/ 20's the ride is really rough compared to a tire with bigger sidewalls. In alot of ways that is why I stayed away from the express, love the look, hate the ride of 20's. I had a 2010 titan with the 5.6, I have to say this has about the same power and I am happy with it.

if you wanted to stick with 17's you could even get the oem aluminum wheels

If you plan on doing a lot of towing you might want to think again about the 20". The are much more planted of a feel when towing compared to 17"

what you need to do is trade me your grille inserts. Your black honeycombs for my chrome horizontal slats.
