New guy that has a question for the dodge experts

Hi everyone. So I'm a industrial mechanic in Canada. Not automotive mechanice. I've got a 2007 3500 5.9L. I like the truck. It's a workhorse. I recently had to do some trouble shooting on it that has me confused with what I've found. I would like to ask the experts here why it did what it did. A coolant problem. Could someone point me to the right place to ask? I'm no stranger to mechanical work but I just don't understand this one
