New lower bumper grille

So I changed my stock grille to a Rebel style about a year ago and haven’t been able to find a lower bumper grille that I liked. My wife had bought me one of those cheap stainless slat grilles for it when I had my stock grille and that clashed with the honeycomb of the rebel style grille. Since I could find anything different for the sport bumper I decided to make my own. I started with the factory lower grille and cut out the center of it leaving just the edge. Then I took some plastic honeycomb I found online and cut it to a rough shape. After some time of trimming and fitting I used automotive panel adhesive on the back and taped it all together to dry. Overall I really like the way it turned out and it snapped back into the bumper like factory. Thought I’d share my results for anyone wanting to attempt the same.

That's exactly what I've been looking for to replace my lower bumper grille. Never understood why the factory didn't make it match the honeycomb grille to start with. Guess I'll be making my own too. Thanks, yours looks great!

I agree...this is what I had when my truck still had its stock grille. My main complaint with this one was it didn’t match the width of the stock upper grille.

I like it. Its better than seeing that black plastic insert

Very nice,I made one myself out of powder coated mesh to match new grill inserts.
