Hello everyone! I've been a Dodge Ram owner since 2019. I originally purchased my 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 in the summer of that year, and it quickly became my primary daily driver. I drove it year-round through the spring, summer, fall, and winter. As many truck owners know, this will eventually lead to rust. Fortunately, the previous owner had sprayed truck bed liner along the lower portions of the truck. This did an excellent job protecting the rocker panels, cab corners, doors, fenders, and bed from rust for several years.

However, the bed liner could only protect the truck for so long. Eventually, the front passenger-side fender and parts of the bed began to rust. By that point, this truck had become a favorite of mine, so in 2024 I decided to retire it from winter driving. I also purchased rust-free replacement panels to replace the rusty ones and began removing the bed liner from the cab of the truck.

After installing the new to me, bed and fender, removing the bed liner entirely, and giving the truck an amateur paint job, this is what it looks like today:

This is still my favorite vehicle, and it continues to provide years of trouble-free operation. I've done plenty of repairs and preventive maintenance on this Dodge Ram, but with relatively inexpensive upkeep, I've managed to keep it running strong for the past seven years. I don't think I could have found a better truck for just $2,200.

I recently began working on my brorher's 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 as well. this has been his tow rig/daily driver for a while now, and it accumulated a ton of rust over it's 20 year life, so far we found and purchased a rust free short bed in the same color, along with a nicer door, and front fenders. I also managed to replace the passenger side rocker panel, and cab corner.

Soon I will tackle the rust on the driver's-side rocker panel and cab corner. Once that's done, this 2005 Ram's exterior will be mostly complete, aside from a few dents and scratches.

I also made a video that condenses years of repairs and improvements to my 1994 Dodge Ram into a short 15 minute movie. If you have time, please check it out! https://youtu.be/GEXggSiXi6o
