Just saying hi & introducing myself. (Bob) I've been a Mopar fan most of my life, starting out as a kid with Matchbox, Hot Wheels & Johnny Lightning diecast in the 1960's. I recall seeing a Dodge Charger Daytona for the first time & loving it. Back then as a kid I had thought it was some wild custom, but found out years later it was actually a Dodge Charger built to qualify for NASCAR.
Anyway, I've had dozens of Mopars over the years, still have several, including my first Dodge truck that I had purchased new, a 2004 Ram 1500 SLT. It's a great truck but it's finally time to replace it with a newer one. The 2004 still runs great but it's starting to get rust again & is going to need a few mechanical issues taken care of. I had some rust repaired almost 10 years ago but it's back & going to be expensive to fix.
With the mechanical issues, I just can't tow long distances & depend on it without putting some money into it. I'll probably end up selling it or maybe even give it to my wife's nephew who is capable of repairing it & using it for work. I'll have to see what happens over the next few weeks. I did get a newer truck about a month ago, a 2024 Ram 2500. I didn't need a 2500 but since you can't get the 4 door with an 8' bed I got one.
Here's a picture of them side by side.
