Oh, quick tip. Flip your winch hook upside down. Leaving the warn strap on the bottom like that makes it very easy to steal. If you flip the hook, the peg on the fairlead prevents the strap from being able to get to the opening of the hook. People do steal those things.

Thanks
I had a Warn winch on my Jeep, Raptor, Tuscany and now PW and never saw monetary value in the strap to think about it I guess that it is a 50/50 chance that I hooked it back in a way it would not get stolen. ...or in Texas we don’t steal. :biggun:
Kidding aside. I will take your advice, as I do (have with a cable) use the strap and would replace it if it got jacked.

Con-The sun roof is lame in my PW. I understood that the Ram 1/2 tons have the panoramic ones that Ford has had out since 2015. I love to open all the windows and sunroof in the 2 nice months we have in east Texas, so I opted to get one again but if you are 6’2 plus and riding in the back seat, the sunroof impends on your head room. I’m considering a roof rack too so I’m 2nd guessing my decision on the sun roof. I hope to open all the windows for the next few days so I will post again on my opinion on the sunroof.

Yea, they are kinda lame compared to the pano ones. But it works well. Our last 1000 mile road trip was spent with the rear window open and the sunroof open. Makes for a good airy feel, but not too much wind/noise.

For the MPG part. I actually got better MPG at elevation.

My theory is less air, less fuel needed. So the truck pulls some fuel/timing to avoid detonation. Leading to better MPGs.

I do have a 1500. But in Texas on the freeways. 17-18MPG. Up in Colorado in the mountains... I got over 20.

5.7l hemi. 3.55 rear end.

I hope to enjoy the “good airy feel” soon. It’s so dang hot right now. (91)

I lived in CO with my TJ but was running 4.10s so I only got to experience 20 mpg plus coming down the mountain.
But on the mi high drag strip we knew when the air temp stayed in the 50s-60s we would get better compress air.
I hopeful for for both to play out with some HP gains and if I pass a gas station then its a bonus.

Since my wife is driving I will update:
The pull to right is not as overwhelming as yesterday, not sure if the LA roads knocked it back into ailment or I got a custom to it...

So I gave up the the bad roads in LA for the the better roads in Mississippi but the insects (bugs) wow. Look at my truck! The washer fluid that came in this truck does nothing for these critters. Favorite windshield fluid??
We are 50 miles into Alabama so I’m praying for nice roads and more bats...

So those of you that don’t know, the 19 PW come with Good Year AT at 33” and 12.5 wide. I have never owned this tire before, as I was loyal to BFG M/T and A/T but this what I have now so I will post on the condition at 4,000 miles. I expect to get 30-40 miles out of them (if I don’t go to 35s before my trip to Moab this coming spring.) A few of you have these tires and can agree/disagree with getting 40k on them. I’m currently running 65 psi. Here is a picture I took at the rest area a few minutes ago

The stock tires are quiet and grip well but they have a super weak carcass. Many of us got puncture flats while driving dirt roads. Make sure your spare is ready to go if you go off pavement at all.

2nd gas stop. Not too much different. Maintain 70-73 mph average a few 80-85 coming down the mountains (did not want to ruin my gpm going back up even though my wife was pushing her air brake in the passenger seat.)

Pro- the radio is really nice ( we got really loud in the 6th hour of the 2nd day of the 15 hour first leg) and when using gps the front speakers go soft when the turn alerts chime in.
Pro- with the windows up, the truck is very quiet.
Pro- with the windows down, the tires don’t wale.

I comment yesterday about the Navigation yesterday but I used the Uconnect app a few times to set new gps stops when we where eating or at a rest stop and it works flawlessly so far.
And seamless with my phone.

Have you hand calculated? Mine always shows ~1.5-2 mpg high on long runs.
