I have a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7 V-8 with 191,650 Miles.
This is my 3rd Ram and I love it
I believe in getting every mile possible out of my vehicles.
Never had an issue until now.
Battery is good (Had it tested yesterday)
All lights and bells and whistles come on but when I turn the ignition, I get one faint click and nothing
I am thinking the starter has given up on me
Anyone have this issue before and could it be something else..?
all other functions work

Hit or tap starter with hammer. If you don't have any codes, it could be win module, starter or battery. If you cant figure out with starter and battery diagnoses, you can bypass win module.

+1, easiest thing to try.

If your starter is original, it doesn't owe you anything.

Fwiw, mine did the same thing at a similar mileage (198K). Tapped it with a hammer, and it was good for quite a while.

I bought a Pure Energy starter from RockAuto, was ~$100.

I procrastinated on changing it and it did it again at about 203k miles. Tapped it, and it started, but I went ahead and changed it since I already had the new starter for several months.

Thanks for taking the time to update us on the outcome. Always fun to see the results of the remote diagnostics, and how close they were.

My 10 RAM 1500 had almost the same issue. Turned out the started was going out even when is started. Also do not use WalMart batteries they don't last well at all.
