Sorry for the delayed response fellas… busy week.

Haven’t looked into it but I’m hoping I can service the tranny and cooling system myself. Off the top of your head I should be able to right? I haven’t used any sort of mechanic in over 25 years on any of motorcycles or cars.

I’m almost definitely going to sell this one in a year or two. I’m hoping Dodge comes out will a factory modified (supercharged) single cab sport truck soon. May have to go Ford if they don’t.

As for the mods. Just want to do small things and am in agreement with you guys on the resell value.

So the consensus is do the E Fan or no?

180 degree T-Stat?

Straight pipe it… no CATs as I am in Florida :)

And then what about that piggy back module as opposed to a flash to get rid of the MDS? I’d prefer a flashed ECU as opposed to a piggy back unit honestly but if I’m selling a piggy back unit may be better.

Really appreciate the help!!!!!

Thanks,
JC
Leave the stock fan on the truck,it doesn't save enough power to make it a worth while mod on a stock truck, and it'll let you run a 180 t-stat and reap the benefits of the t-stat with-out tuning.
Can't comment on the Pulsar piggyback unit,as i've never ran one,but do not tune it,if you plan on selling it with-in a year,as alot of buyers are scared off from a tuned vehicle.
Cooling system is easy to maintain, open the rad petcock, drain out as much as possible, then fill back up with the proper concentration of OAT coolant, you could even pull the block plugs if you're ambitious and drain the block,as that'll give you even more new coolant in the mix.
The 8 speeds are pretty easy to do a pan and filter change on,just follow these instructions to a T when topping it off,you need the rear tires roughly 9" in the air to level the transmission.
PPE makes a really nice heavy duty aluminium pan, that's not all that much more money then the factory pan is.You need to swap the transmissions pan to swap the filter,as the filter is part of the pan on the 8 speeds.Do a search on here, there's lots of threads on servicing the 8 speed.
This is the 1 quart deeper PPE pan,it's a bit easier to work with then the 2 quart deeper pan is,on a truck with the stock crossover exhaust pipe under the transmission pan.
