Hello all,

New to the site. I have a 2019 Ram Bighorn 2500 Hemi 6.4. Here are my questions and thank you for any help.

1. Looking for suggestions on what products would be best together for a Cold air intake and exhaust system for great performance and sound.

2. Anyone have any issues with the audio and it not being loud enough?

For the CAI I suggest searching for info with key words such as cold air and CAI. There are extensive posts on the subject. You can get some good information, and my 2 cents is that the majority of people here seem to be of the opinion that Ram did a good job in their design and you might not really see any noticable improvement. However you should look at all the modifications you want to make and see what the benefit is in the whole package.

For audio, that is kind of subjective. However what do you notice is not loud enough? The radio, phone conversations through the radio, etc. That will help others to maybe assist more.

Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

I had an AFE cold air intake system on my 6.4L powered truck. Fit and finish is good and it does take air from the fender inlet.

As for exhaust I had a shop install a Magnaflow SI/SO muffler and chopped of the resonator. I liked the sound but that's a pretty subjective thing. I'd suggest you listen to some sound clips on the interwebs.

Here's how mine sounded:

The audio in that truck, and my subsequent 2017 CTD, worked fine. What system to you have in your truck?

Good luck with the mods.

You already have a factory CAI, take a close look. I installed a MBRP catback system and it sounds great. It has a little drone in top gear at 55-58 mph, but not bad to me.

This is correct, it is an excellent factory system. S&B does make a CAI for it now, and it works with the factory scoop above the radiator.

Thank you all for your feedback. It is much appreciated.

As for the audio. Yes it is subjective but it seems as if my radio is louder than my Apple Car Play. I have a 8.4 Uconnect.

Apple CarPlay volume is predicated on the output volume of your device you've paired.

Check the volume settings at that end and see if you can't get more.

I have the S&B installed in my 2020 Ram 2500 Tradesman 4x4 RCLB. Not much sound difference, went with the dry filter, I like having the window to see the filter without taking the box apart.

yes, this ^^^^^

when using your phone for music, you want to make sure the volume on the phone is all the way up.
