New truck, give me your ideas!

Hey all, I just worked out a deal with my work to grab one of the trucks they are scrapping. Its a 99 3500 dually 24v diesel. I had some ideas for it but just wanted some opinions so shoot me with some inspiration. i was also wondering if it was possible to swap to an extended cab short bed? Thanks!


Some extra info-

Pros- rebuilt trans, rebuilt axles, 6 new tires, 100% working 4x4, Runs at idle, decent interior, low miles i believe around 80k maybe less, scrap yard is selling it to me for $200 over what they pay for it, somewhere around $1200

Cons- idles only stalls with throttle thinking fuel pump (or worse injection pump), cab floor has a rust hole through it nothing too major, has utility body going to swap for bed.

My own ideas

I like orange but not that much, thinking of painting the truck like a Harley f series. also found a company that does fiberglass fender flares like the megacab beds (i called them they said it fits all beds). I like these lights also has a matching 3rd brake light, don't know if anyone else has any other styles. And i really like this front bumper, stock look with 4 fog lights. (not a fan of the iron cross giant off road bumpers)

Since its a reg cab, you wont be able to bolt the extended cab and short bed to it since the mounts will be different.

I would worry about getting it up to snuff, rust holes fixed, bed swapped, etc before worrying about paints schemes or mods for it yet.

Its only got one good rust spot to fix and one mechanical issue then its all modification so just shoot me ideas I like having a plan. So I want blueprint ideas for a bad ass truck.

you so have so many mod options with a 24v! i would make it look at least decent but my primary focus would be drivetrain.
