Not usually much for lowering, but this looks mighty fine.

how low is your truck? it looks pretty low

My current truck is Belltech 2/4 with a coil cut off the rear springs. I'll probably be lowering it another 1" all around to get rid of some of the fender gap some time soon.

The silver 02 was like 5/8 in that pic. It rode like **** so I bumped it back up to 4/6 and it was much better..

so right now its at a 2/5 or around there? and do you think you have enough clearance between the rear end and the frame to go that extra inch all around?

Hey Tyler, how has the combination of 4.10's and 285/50's affected your highway MPG/ driveability? I'm looking to get a setup very similar to yours. Thoughts?

It's hard to tell the actual MPG loss from the tire height difference because I got a tuner just before mounting the wheels. I would say I lost more MPG because of the tuner. The gear swap and tire swap has totally changed the feel of the truck compared to the stock 3.55s and 33" tires. The tire swap felt like I did another gear swap on top of the 4.10s. It is soo much more fun to drive now, it's hard to keep my foot out of it and it breaks the tire loose so easily that I found myself drifting A LOT!! That has the biggest effect on my MPG, but I'm still averaging 15 MPG so what the hell. Definitely worth it. I can't wait for my 3200 stall converter!

I haven't ordered it yet, I'm waiting on my tax return. I'll be going with Circle-D.

To Op, That is one of the nicest 4th Gen Street set-ups I've seen, well done and the Diff cover is a nice Touch too. Even this Ol fellow admits that Lowered is Cool.

Just be aware that if you are lowered that you will have to do some cutting for a larger differential cover to fit on the 4th Gen trucks. There's a weird, pointless piece that dips down under the bed that will hit the larger cover. I'll post a picture a little later.

Ok, the red shows what I cut approximately. It's not pretty, but like I said the part I cut serves no purpose.

I just wanted to show with these two pictures that while it is tight, there is still plenty of room with the factory sway bar and track bar.

You can also see my cut and rewelded, shortened anti-sway bar tie rods.

No problem. Two minutes with a sawzall made quick work of the problem area.

What more do you wanna know? The Mag-Hytec differential costs about $255, I got it from Moes Performance, it holds 1.25 more quarts over stock, has a magnetic dipstick, a magnetic drain plug so you can do routine lube maintenance without removing the cover, a fill port on the front, a port on the top for a optional temp sensor, a built in O-ring gasket that is reusable so no more messy RTV or leaking cork gaskets, comes with all new stainless hardware.

I think that's about it.

I need to add new pics to this thread. I lowered the front another inch and the rear 1-3/4".
