Picked truck up from stealership.

Told me needed new ignition (unlocked) guess what it starts now.
To my disappointment they stole my diablo programmer and kept my 'locked' ignition.
Unbelievable!

I know better than leave valuables but
Only reason I left programmer is so they could put it back to stock if necessary for reprogramming, apparently they didn't need it but at the same time someone went through my whole under backseat and only took my programmer i set there (out of sight) before dropping truck off. Tools are there, tie straps etc. But all disturbed not how I left it, some stuff even ontop of the seat. Atleast the idiot can't use it as it's locked to my truck, but it screws me now for future programmers.
Super pissed about that, ended in a argument as obviously no one seen anything to the point I told him to check cameras. If not returned, stage 2...
Next step talk to owner, file a police report & flame the thieving ****** online for what they done, if they think they can cover their employees. 500$ gone.
Also mentioned to return the so locked ignition to me when truck is fixed before they ordered a new one, as I just spent 200$ on it. Even that they couldn't return yet.

Exactly why I try to avoid dealers until you need programming done.... going to sell the dodge and never own another dodge/chrysler or kia product in my area so I never have to deal with this pos outfit ever again. Sad as I was thinking of getting a dodge charger next, but this totally turns me off, no way i will be dealing with thieves ever again.

You should have mentioned a Programmer in your first post #1

you might give this shop a call or email

They specialize in WIN Modules, old style & new

The only reason I have the programmer is to disable MDS & as a scan tool.
I didn't mess with the transmission etc.
Pretty vital tool for the MDS tho as otherwise it cripples my engine the moment it switches into MDS, it won't come out of it.

That's totally on you,you should have returned it back to the stock tune, and then took the Diablo out of the truck.
Whine all you want about thieves, but it's a fact of life that they're out there and aren't going away, and it's up to you to do your best to circumvent them. You're blaming the wrong people, when you should be blaming yourself for not being smart enough to plan ahead
Put it down to a lesson learned, and now you'll know enough to remove anything of value from the truck

BS you've been around this forum long enough to know, manually shifting it into 5th gear locks out the mds, doesn't take a Diablo to lock out mds.
You got issues if it won't come out of mds mode with-out a tuner, maybe fix them

You must be one with sticky fingers yourself if one can't leave one thing in the truck without the possibility of it going missing.
It's a tuner that's locked to the truck unless put back to stock for those bright enough.

Hindsight always 20-20- You should have. Should've done alot of things, remember that for yourself too. While trying to do the right thing.

No need to fix the problem on a truck that's not worth the value while I can just bypass it.

It’s not a dodge/ram problem as the individual dealerships are privately owned. I got a Honda dealer out here that adds to the msrp on the cars with an addendum and even on their parts. They don’t call them stealerships for nothing
