I have an expensive OBDLink MX+
Why is AlphaOBD telling me I need a MS—CAN blue adapter?

Are you sure you checked off the correct vehicle / year when starting the program? What are you trying to do with it?

Are you using windows or android version? Go to advanced mode on AlfaOBD and make sure that the interface (MX+) is correct

Should not need any adapters with the MX+, as it is plug and play.

It says on AlfaOBD that the adapters are required; and trying to operate specific functions without them causes the instrument warning panel to go insane with alerts

I can 100% say for sure I have used nothing except the AlfaOBD and the OBDLink MX+ to do any of changes on my '16 truck.
Proper setup is essential.
The blue CANbus adapter is used on some of the older / other models of OBDLink

Only thing need when using the MX+ is a bypass cable on '18 and later trucks.
