Occupant Restraint Module

I have a 2008 Ram 1500 and the airbag module (Occupant Restraint Module) had an internal fault which caused the air bags to deploy and seatbelts to lock out with out a collision. Ram doesn’t make the parts to replace them so I have to go aftermarket and there is no open recall so Ram also won’t cover it. I was thinking of grabbing a used module from a wrecked truck but the modules are vin locked so is there any way to change the vin on the used module, if I were to get one, to match my trucks vin or am I stuck hoping that I can find on new?
