I have a 2013 1500 Sport with the factory projector headlamps. The lenses are all scratched up like the previous owner drove through a sand storm (same thing with the fog light lenses), so i'm looking to replace them. I don't like the looks of some of the alternative choices that are out there, and I can't find a cheap set of OEM projector headlights to replace mine. What i'm wondering is what is the difference in the wiring harness between mine and the OEM quad headlights? If it's something simple than I'll probably just go with the a replacement set of headlights made for quad headlights. I'm just curious at this point, but I have a hard time seeing the road on a rainy night and I don't want to spend the money to go to HIDs. TIA for any help or suggestions!

They make a quad to projector harness but I highly doubt they make a projector to quad harness. Reason being is the quads are terrible. If you think your light are bad now you’ll really hate the quads. Anything you run will be bad in the rain. Water reflects the light off of the road. Your best option to see better in rain is 3000k bulbs on the fogs.

Can you take them out and sand and polish then? May be a much cheaper alternative.

I’ve taken them to a couple different retailers and they all say there’s nothing they can do to buff them out. I keep seeing sets for $500+ but I don’t know that I want to spend that much. I do like the new design on the 2019 Rams but I don’t know if they will work with our trucks.

Post pics of the damage.

They make 2 different 2019 style housings for 4gens one is Morimoto and the other is some cheap knock off of them. If you’re not wanting an hid kit I’d definitely go with the knockoffs. Stock 2019 headlights will not fit in your truck. 3cbb6ae4737352a724088ec37c6a1a0e.jpg

I have quads with LED’s and they are great....except in raid or snow or heavy fog.

I switched to some eBay spyder projectors and they are way better.

Quads are what you put in your truck before you sell it. [emoji23]

Just pick up an aftermarket OEM replica set and be done with it. The projector is a little bit better than the OEM and will give you the same look. I purchased a set for a retrofit and couldn't tell a difference besides the replicas were flat black on the inside (can get chrome) and there is no "RAM" written on them. About $300 for a set. I'd grab a cheap HID setup and throw in there for pretty decent light output, especially with the projector... Just look on ebay and make sure to get the ones with the 1 large oval'ish plug. Most of the descriptions will tell you if they fit the OEM projector trucks or not.

These lights were in bad shape. Pics don’t do it justice. With headlight restore from Chemical Guys and 5 minutes with my polisher. Save your money.

If you just want new headlights get new headlights lol

I have a set of TYC chrome projectors with HID bulbs I'm looking to get rid of if you're interested. Much cheaper than OEM and I bought them about a year ago

No, I’ve been trying to find a set that I like that were aftermarket to see if I could find one that was blacked out to go with the rest of my truck that might even give me a little more light output like the halos. I’ll probably do that later tonight though.

This is absolutely repairable. Just takes a lot of wet sanding. Fogs will be harder you’ll have to disassemble them

I went to 2 different detailing shops and they both said there’s nothing I can do to fix that. Like I said, they both look like the bottom picture but the dogs look worse.

They make an adapter, just gotta ask them for it.

Mine were $340, including the 6000k HID kit....which I would personally forego and get DDMTuning kit....4500k is the color I like.

Without HID kit, they are generally around $300 on Amazon.

I’ve repaired a lot of headlights in my day and by the looks of it they’re no different than what I’ve done. If I can get out this gouge and pits I’m pretty sure these can be fixed. e88e0a90f7183e1ad13cebbff62508be.jpg
