That third pic really shows it, definitely coming from that bolt. That really sucks man; hope the mechanic makes good on it.
Thanks. I will try that next. God I hope it works. Some good high temp thread sealant should stop that leak.
Be sure to clean threads on stud & head with brake cleaner & blast of air in threaded hole before applying thread sealer.Thanks. I will try that next. God I hope it works.

Ok thanks.Be sure to clean threads on stud & head with brake cleaner & blast of air in threaded hole before applying thread sealer.
Let it sit overnight before firing up wouldn't hurt either.
Also if you pull exhaust stud & there is no oil on threads or in hole then it is coming from something else.Ok thanks.

Still have the leak. I got it to go away for a couple months but it's back. I need to take a closer look. Planned on doing that tomorrow. Gotta pull the bolt and see if there is oil on it.Any updates 2012Lamarie?
Looks like I have similar issues.
The oil on the lover side of the Exhaust Heat Shield, driver side.
I lost a quart of oil in 1000 miles. I am going to check the rest if the engine but it looks like it's coming from the bolt hole. Going to pull it out and see if there is oil on the threadsThank for replay 2012Lamarie!
I didn't replace my Exhaust bolts yet,but the Exhaust Heat Shield is very loose, and there is oil just exactly like on your third picture.
I'll check that. I hope that's what it is. I can fox that myself. When the dealer did my bolts under warranty they pinched the corner of the valve cover gasket. By the time i got home there was oil leaking everywhere even the cab smelled like an oil rig. Hope maybe thats the problem. Now they did f up one of my holes on my head and replaced the head because they said antifreeze was leaking so not sure if oil would come out of the bolt hole or not.but the oil from the leak was all over the back of the motor, trans, ground dam everywhere
Ok pulled the bolt out, no oil. But oil is coming from somewhere right there. No oil on around the valve cover. So frustrating. And the threads on the hole are stripped.
