I have them listed in my excel spreadsheets, i just don't know how much lift they'll provide until somebody gets a set first, then he/she can measure from there it should be easy to figure where the other spring will do for lift

For some reason my tablet doesn't like your excel for the coils. Kinda dumb, since the other 2 work idk I'm not a tech guy very much.

From reading back through your thread when you were looking at bumpers, the average steel winch bumper looks to be about 150-200lbs. Plus 75-100 for a winch depending on cable.

Rear setup will be decked (220lbs) plus say, approx 300lbs of stuff so say 500lbs. Your claytons have a 280lb second rate, which seems like where they live most the time, and they handle great.

Looking at these tentative calculations, I'm thinking Heavy front, medium rear load should be my happy places.....theoretically.

Truck needs to be paid off, so that's first, but this kit will be in my hands very soon.

Any real world reports on these? I have a 2018 Ram 1500 CrewCab 5.7L with a decked system and a truck cap in the back for 500lbs. Have almost 80K miles on it, needs a new set of shocks and heavier springs in the back. When I tow a holiday trailer, it sags quite a bit and handles poorly.

Have been looking at the Bilstein 5100's, 6112/5160's combined with a tuftruck spring but really like the sounds of this system. Anyone purchase one yet?

For you guys running heavy bumpers....would the Dobinson coils be an option? I know they come in different spring weights

Call ARB and Dobinson and talk with them about spring length, rates and weight. Post the notes, try them out and report back. This is how you make the Overlanding/offroading community better for the 1500 platform. You'll often benefit from proper spring and shocks to make the ride pleaseant and to give you better performance. Tuff truck springs are more work truck springs, most of their springs are shorter than stockers with maybe one exception so your shock selection is a little more limited when you're looking for more performance. You can set your truck up for street duties or you can set it up for overlanding/offroad duties. They'll behave differently and perfom according to the setup and needs. Performance aint a cheap thing but be affraid not, lol. if you know what i mean the grin in your face is literally a forever thing every day

I spoke to ARB and Tuftruck yesterday. For my application - stock bumper, but 5-600 lbs in the rear ARB recommended buying the light coils/shocks and heavy coils/shocks for the back (not the extra heavy, just the heavy) rather than the medium ARB 2" lift kit (RAM1500MK). Which is too bad, because I found a dealer in Canada with stock on the kit selling them at a good price.

Spoke to tuftruck, and you're right - there heavy spring is primarily for work trucks that will have a fuel tank etc in the back at all times. Suggested it would work well for me, but if I ever took the Decked kit and Truck Cap off it would ride very rough.

I'm seeing if I can source the ARB Old Man Emu parts separately here in Canada, or even just the light coil springs for the front. Suspect it will not be possible or will be a long backorder and not economical - we just don't sell the volume you do in the states. IMO, its going to come down to the OME Medium Lift kit or Bilsteins 6112 front/5100 rear with the Tuftruck rear shocks. I'm leaning towards going with the OME's, and replacing the front coil springs with the light coil springs from OME if needed. On road/off road performance is >> important than towing performance for me. Only tow occasionally, and if I really have a long/heavy trip to do I borrow a one ton from my father or brother's in law.

Plan to make my decision and purchase in the next week, will report back once installed and have some road experience either way.

The mediums are 220 lbs/inc, the heavy ones are 280, the extra heavy are 340. I think in your case you'll be fine with the 280's. How much rear lift you want to keep ?
440 lbs will drop a full inch on the mediums
560 lbs for a full inch of the heavy
680 lbs for a full inch with the extra heavy

Yes, the 280 lb/inch is what I'm planning on. I'm hoping to get 1.5-2" in the rear and the same in the front. With the weight in the rear, may keep slight rake which I'm good with. For tires, I'm running the stock size 275/60/R20 so will see how it looks, runs with that. Mostly looking for better performance on forestry roads and some light offroading when hunting which is why I went suspension first. May upsize the tires on the stock rims, or upgrade to some 17 inch rims and bigger tires for better off road ride quality down the road. This is my first aftermarket suspension kit so I'm excited.

Planning on ordering the Nitrocharger sport #90044, the Front coil spring #3163, the rear coil spring #3168, nitrocharger sport shock #60164 and the trim packer OME95PF5 today.

Maybe you guys can help me out. I have a Leer topper at about 250lb I'm wanting about 1.5 inch lift in the back. So I'm not sure if I should get the 3167's or if the 3168's. Called them and didn't get much info, think he was a Jeep specialist.
I'm afraid the 3168's would be too stiff but then again not sure. Product guy said the 3167's are for a 440lb constant load, but couldn't say the lift at that load. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I put the Bilstein B12 specials on and only got 1/2 inch. Thanks...

Well, everything finally arrived and I had it installed Thursday. Had 140K km on my truck and the suspension is noticeably better. However, I was told by ARB I’d get a 1.5-2.5 in lift in the rear. It ended up being 4 inches in the front and 6 inch in the rear according to the mechanic who installed it. He measured pre and post install to see. It looks like it too.

Rides good, stock suspension must have been worn out, but more than I wanted. Concerned about wear and tear in other components due to the large change with only coils and springs being replaced.

Only about 50 miles on it so far, definitely needs some bigger tires in the future.

As you’ll see above I’d go 3167. I did the coils and shocks front and rear.

I'm waffling between the 3167 and 3168's as I have a Four Wheel Camper (420lbs) and likely 300 lbs of gear, water, etc. I tried Carli's HD 500lb constant springs and kept my airbags but at full load I have to keep 35 psi to get level, no gear just the camper is 15psi with a little rake. Bilstein's at max level up front. Carli's are too short and known to be on the soft side. I'm just not sure I want to jump all the way up to 1300lb spring vs the 660lb but have had good luck with OME in the past.

I'd be curious to see for those using the OME springs if they have settled at all over the last few months.
