On my 07 Ram 1500 I cannot locate a fuse that is "hot" only when the ignition switch is on and/or when the key is turned to "accessory". I have read post from those with other model year Rams which give suggestions but those fuse locations either are hot all of the time,or the fuse socket does not exist on my Ram...regardless they do not seem to work on my 07 Ram. I have found several fuse sockets that are hot all of the time, but I need to run a trigger wire to a relay in my CB radio installation. Can anyone with a 2007 Ram help me out? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks, did #24 work for you? I will try it again but I am pretty sure I tried that one and it was dead.

Haven't tried it but #24 should be for the Radio which is triggered by the ignition.

I will give it a shot, also I found out that my cigarette lighter comes on the key and then stays on after the key is removed for a few minutes (like the radio)...that my be why I thought that the lighter was ON all of the time even though it is switched with the key. Thanks for the help!!

I don’t think the radio has a switched power source. Pretty sure it has a constant, and is switched by the can bus system on the 06-up trucks. That’s why when replacing the radio you need that expensive ass harness.

You beat me to it. I was gonna say, for something for the interior, easiest place to get a switched power source is from the cigarette lighter and yes it will use the RAP function so it will stay on until you open the door.

Yeah I’m pretty sure there is no switched power source for the radio whether behind the radio or at the TIPM. Canbus/TIPM stuff pretty much took everything that used to be easy and overly complicated it.

Another place for a switched power source is at the ignition harness but it is a little more of a pain to get to.
