I am building a 1955 Dodge Power Wagon with a 2022 Ram 5.7 & 8HP trans. I am working on incorporating the entire electrical system from the same 2022- Ram meaning complete wire harnesses, Fuse box , BCM, ECM, Push button start, 8HP gear selector, headlight switch, Instrumentation. --- I think you get the idea. What I cant incorporate ( due to Space ) is the 2022 Ram Steering Column. I need to incorporate an after market column like that from Flaming River ( or similar ) . What this means is I need to tie in the turn signal switch and possibly the high beam switch ( from Flaming River ) into the existing 2022 wire harness . I know that EVERYTING on these new vehicles goes thru the BCM (Body Control Module). My question - Are the steering column Inputs from the 2022 Ram turn signal & high beam switch in the Steering Wheel Clock spring module JUST INPUTS that I can connect to the Flaming River Column ...or is this actually Computer modules talking to computer modules - meaning 2022 Ram Clock Spring module talking to the BCM ( Body Control Module) . And for those of you who will say Don't use the 2022 Ram Electrical System - just buy the after market ECM for the 5.7.....it IS NOT that simple - because I need the controls for the 8HP also - and YES its all available - at a cost of probably over 3K - and I already own all the 2022 Ram hardware.
