What do you do for a living? Maybe you can rent a truck or use an SUV to tow a trailer?

im a contractor - i use the truck all the time for building stuff. also, there are no rental vehicles available in the boulder colorado area for 2 weeks....too many people trying to move here. i guess ill have to cram supplies into my old 1994 subaru wagon - which runs like a watch at 282,000 miles.

I’m also a contractor in Denver. I pull a trailer with mine. If I need to I’ll rent a uhaul pickup for a couple days while mines out I can pull the trailer with a ½ ton if I don’t load it too much.

Hello nukegm,

We're sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with your 2500. Can you send us a direct message with your VIN? I want to get this over to a Case Specialist for further handling.

Go talk to the salesmen you bought it from about a loaner.

Absolutely this ^^^^there is zero reasons why the dealership could not provide you an adequate truck to replace yours during the repairs.

I’ve had three loaners now from my truck being in the shop. two times I got a truck when I asked for it the other time I only needed a loaner for an hour (during service) so they gave me one.

Does your dealer have business link? It's great for business owners.

It will take a while for them to get back to you. In the meantime you need a business truck. If you have a sales history with this dealer as business buyer, find out who the GM or owner is. Go direct to that person. They have a vested interest in the Brand. Dealers write off "good will" expenses every year.

Not all dealers give out loaners. None of the dealers by me have a loaner program unless you have a lifetime warranty.

I like the idea of renting a uhaul. Ifn theres a bunch of people moving there, should be plenty.

I see a few 'courtesy' cars running around H-town. Mostly from high end manufactures/dealers. Its partly the result of us being willing to travel long distances to save some frog skins.

Good luck and hope you get your truck back soon.

I don't understand all these parts that are on national back order. If it was under warranty and they'd only use Mopar parts that would be one thing, chances are unless it's a warranty repair they're going to use aftermarket parts anyways. Seems to me they're using the parts story to ease the schedule in they're shops.
