I used the factory MOPAR steps. The texture on the steps matches the rear bumper.

I am an advocate for the Mopar steps as well. I have been told by larger people(I am only 170 lbs) that the mopar steps are some of the stiffest steps they have used. Another good brand is AMP Research. My uncle and cousin(400 lbs combined) both stood on the ones on my uncles mega cab with zero flex. You really do get what you pay for.

The new style rests on the outer edge of the rocker panels fyi, minor paint damage over time. Older style does not but is just a tad less stable.

I have the westin pro traxx 4in I like them I'm 240 and they are solid no flex they bolt in all 3 factory locations in the rockers. I will say for the price they are worth it but don't expect top quailty. Are you looking at black or polished? I have the black ones and I wasent very happy with the paint quality, I polished and waxed them and they look a lot better after that. Also after a good rain I had a little bit of rusty water come out of them so if you live up north I bet you could get 3-5 years out of them before the rust through, I'm in Texas so I'm not worried about them rusting through. Over all solid step medium quailty worth every penny vs the $6-700 oem, Nfab.

Edit: changed pic for better view of step.

AMP Research power steps. They are sturdy, have great grip, run wheel to wheel, and don't take away from ground clearance. I've had them on every truck so far and never had issues even after several years of use.

My 2015 even had pre-drilled holes to help mount the motors. That was a pleasant surprise.

I am most likely going to get polished. I have read some bad reviews on the black powder coat ones like you have. For the money they seem hard to beat and I live in Arizona so definitely no worries of weather or rust issues.

If you go polished they are stainless so no rust worries anyways! And I highly doubt they are powder coated the finish is pretty soft.

I have the Westin Platinum Ovals in 4". They work great and give just enough clearance to get my big feet on them, whether I'm getting in or out of the truck. I believe the stainless come with a lifetime finish warranty. The black painted ones are only like a 3-5 year coverage.

My step-dad has 3" ovals (not sure of brand) on his ford, and I can't use them getting out of the truck because they sit too close to the body. Every time I've tried, I usually slip off of it and almost fall out of the truck.

EDIT** forgot I had a picture.
