Does anyone know anything about the wiring leading to them in the 2nd gen? I finally found the correct harness leading from the bulkhead connector to the console. However, my question is if (as in my case) the truck did NOT have the console with the compass/temperature readout feature are the sensors already installed from factory to make the console function if I just use the correct harness? The bulkhead connector DOES have the male parts of the wires sticking through to go to the harness. Any help ASAP would help because I want to get the truck finished put together.

The ambient air temp sensor has no purpose other than to send information to the overhead console, so if your truck didn’t originally have the console it won’t likely have the sensor. If present it would be mounted to the underside of the hood right near the hood latch striker assembly. This is fortunate since it’s an easy location to access and add the sensor and wiring. You can see the sensor and mounting bracket in the photo below.

A new member joins on Sunday looking for information ASAP because he's in a hurry to finish assembling his truck, leaves the one post and logs off in less than twenty minutes, then doesn't come back. He may have been back to view the thread without logging in, but there's no way to know that. Perhaps this is why so many new members asking questions don't get answers. It's puzzling, but it makes me wonder if we'll ever see those pictures you asked for.
