Congratulations.Bought this new in 2016. I made the last payment a couple days ago
You might want to consider setting up a separate bank account and continue making payments to the new account for a furture purchase.
sweet truck and paid to boot!Bought this new in 2016. Replaced wheels and tires along with headlights and tail lights along with a few other things. I made the last payment a couple days ago and I’m proud to say it’s still in great shape with just over 50k miles!View attachment 528042
I just do not drive onto any dealer lots or peruse on the Internet. I normally only keep a vehicle 4 years and I am past 5, unusual for me.Congrats! It's great having vehicles paid for. Just have to resist the thought to go buy something else now. That's been my challenge in the past lol although I've done better of late.
Prices have gotten crazy. I bought a new 2011 tradesman 4x4 with Cummins for $36k. I probably should have hung on to that one, new versions are now $55k+. I traded it in 2014 because I didn't have much need for the diesel anymore for my 2014 Outdoorsman 1500. I paid around $34k after rebates and what not and had a pretty good amount of equity in the 2011. My 2014 has been paid for since 2018 and there's not a truck out there that gets me interested enough in thinking of a trade. I only have 75k miles and finally found a good deal on a set of rebel wheels and I like this truck as much as ever.I'm driving a 2013 CTD 4X4 with 140K miles. It's been paid for and even though I wouldn't mind having a newer truck, I can't justify the price increase. My truck stickered for $54K and sold for $48 and some change. To replace it today, it would be in the $70 to $80K range. That's just silly!
I owed $16K on our home when Covid shut down the economy. My business went to ZERO overnight. I took a huge leap of faith, and I paid it off so we wouldn't have to worry about our home. It was a relief to have the debt off of me.
