Paint bubble

Paint is bubbling on the front edge of my 2014 ram hood. Cannot see a fracture or dent. Not sure if this would be covered under warranty, any suggestions on a fix to prevent spread?

I had the exact same thing and they covered it under the corrosion warranty. I also have a 2014.

Get it to the dealer. In my case with my 2013 my bedside was bubbling. They replaced it under warranty but can't say for sure what they will cover. Get to the dealer ASAP

Check with the dealer first and if they won't take care of it I'd go to a professional body shop.

That looks like the clear coat peeling. In my case a had an actual bubble of rust under the paint on my hood right above the headlight. No cracks or anything.

Would this be something that warranty would cover? It is a 2016.

It is covered under the corrosion warranty. You either have to look your vin up on ram truck owners website or call dealership with vin to find out if your still under the corrosion warranty. I believe it’s 5 years

It was 5 years on my 2013. Can't say for sure it would be covered but worth a try. As far as I know the warranty is for corrosion from the inside out so not sure how they would view that. But again, worth a try. Good luck.

Like I said earlier in this thread. I had the same thing over last summer on my 14. They covered it under warranty because there was no cracks or anything that would have let water in from the outside.

The trucks painted at the Warren plant have had significant problems for years. I think their QC people are visually impaired. Bubbles, dirt in the paint, panels not painted consistently or not painted at all. These are just some of the problems. Evidently the robots were out smoking grass along with some of the employees during their lunch break. Sorry for your problems

There is a new paint shop being built at Warren Truck..the white building is the new expansion area, where all the stacks are clustered is the old one

This is a known issue with Mopar/Chrysler! Fight it! I have a 2015 and I got my hood replaced under warranty for corrosion on the leading edge of the hood in 2017.
