Found a set of bushwacker fender flares on letgo for a pretty good price but they are off of a black 2009. I have a black 2015 and it looks like the code for the black paint changed. Anyone have any clue how different the two are or if it is even noticeable?

Thanks in advance guys.

Well post the paint codes ...... px8 has always been the solid black and I know it has not changed as I just mixed some the other day.

So yes PX8 is a solid Black with no pearl or Flake, and PXR is black with pearl and metal flake in the formula. Very easy to tell what one you have by looking at it in a good light.
If the flares are PX8 they will look ok on your truck if your truck is PXR but if is the other way around it will not look so good in my opinion.
Flat Black would look good on either color and since the flares are already painted black (as long as it is a quality job) you could clean, scuff sand with a gray scotch bright pad and use a quality aerosol to refinish each one. Just remember that the final finish is only as good as the prep work and substrate you are painting on.

Totally agree. I've actually painted both color codes. The Brilliant Black will look gray next to your black truck.

It's not the best picture, but here is my Brilliant Black 2008 truck. You can see how much flake is in there and how gray it looks. It was nice at night, looked black.
