Hi
So I'm trying to troubleshoot my parasitic draw (approximately 358 mA).
My problem is that I don't know how to trick the truck into thinking that the hood is closed so that I can start pulling fuses.
I feel stupid, I'm guessing that it's easy but I can't figure it out. I see the harness going to the hood latch (I'm assuming that this is it) but I don't know how to "close" it with the hood open.
Any and all help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Assuming your 2015 is the same as my 2013, here is the diagram from my 2013 factory service manual:

So, according to that, when the hood is shut, the switch closes the "hood ajar switch sense (11a)" to the "sensor ground (23d), in the BCM.

Pretty easy then. Unplug the hood latch switch connector and put a jumper across the two pins.

Or, alligator clip a wire from ground to pin1 connector G70 (hood ajar connector).

I've got a couple homemade hood props that push in and latch on the hood latch, they've always worked for me.
This ones for the wifes old Challenger,as i'm to lazy to go get a pic of the one for the truck,it's the same thing anyways, just a differant colour ;)

Thanks guys!

So here's what I learned after posting this:

If you leave the hood open and wait a bit, I didn't time it, that circuit turns off so I was able to start pulling fuses.

I'm my own worst enemy.....I tapped my dash cam into the remote garage door opener circuit which is always live and that is what was creating the draw.

Now to find which positive wire up there shuts off with the ignition.

Thanks again!
