Hello all, I had a 2005 Dakota and a 2013 F150, but yesterday I got a 2013 RAM slt 5.7 for a good price and under 150k miles. Already noticing some issues and don't know where to start.
The main thing is there is a 4x4 service light on the dash... That one was obvious and the dealer reduced the price for me, stating they did a diagnostic and maybe some looking around but don't know what's causing it. Research says anything from a fuse, to bad tipm, to transfer case issues but before I spend money on a mechanic I wanted to see if this was a common problem and/or an easy fix?
The other thing is pretty random, the cigarette lighter in the center console has no power. Again... I can check fuses and maybe the wiring but beyond that I don't know if this is common for the Ram or something that needs a shop to fix. I need it for charger, dash cam, etc. I haven't checked the "household" style outlet so hopefully that works.
Thanks for any info and I look forwarded to learning more about these trucks!
