Just curious because I have a a 2022 Ram 1500 with the 5.7. I do have an extended warranty for 7 years or 125k miles but I'm still concerned. Mainly due to previously having a '16 Ram with 5.7 which is now my son's. Last year it had the lifter failure at 129k miles and I could not find anyone who would even attempt changing the cam and lifters. $6200 later he has a remanufactored engine with 3 year, unlimited mileage. My 2022 now has 37k miles. Sometimes considering a used Tundra.

you probably will not qualify now since your truck does not have a record of using pennzoil since new. If you think this warranty is going to save you from the cam/lifter failure it will not. If something does fail they will have to diagnose engine to determine cause and guarantee they will prove it was not the oil that caused the failure. Don't let the truck sit their and idle for long periods and the engine will be fine..
On a side note i use the oil and i will never use anything else. Used it in my last 2 veh and im impressed with the results especially in my last veh that had a head gsket failure and one oil change was nothing but sludge in the pan. Used a fix a gasket in a bottle and did a flush with cheap oil and the truck is still running perfectly 5 years later.

Rant mode on - I don't like the government, but if there were to be such an entity that really looks after it's citizens, Penzoil would be shut down over this. I'm looking at the terms and conditions of this thing and I seriously question if they will ever pay ONE SINGLE claim on this program. The requirements for documenting your maintenance are so overwhelming, I'm not sure anyone could keep up with it. If you join this program after your car has 75,001 miles, the claim limit is $2,500...0-75K miles, they pay $5k. That's if you can get past keeping all the reciepts for both oil AND ail filters, prove that you used the proper product, go online every 12 months to update the records, then send all of this stuff BEFORE and repairs are made...And you cannot make repairs until it has been inspected. Gee....I wonder how long they'll take to do that?

Yeah, I agree. I have all receipts for oil changes, but not an air filter change if it's even required at this point. I try and save money and have Walmart Automotive do the oil changes. All but one of the oil changes have been Pennzoil Synthetic ($64.99 plus charge for an extra 2 quarts), I'd have to check which one. All records are automatically uploaded to Carfax. But yeah, it's likely you would have to hire an attorney to actually get Pennzoil to honor this warranty. It's a shame that you can spend $50k on a vehicle, have all required maintenance done, and yet it's still a gamble as to whether your engine will have some type of catastrphic failure. I think a majority of the problem is that most parts are manufactured in some 3rd world country in order to save the car companies money. The US hardly manufactures anything today and we end up with junk.
