Plug Near Driver Side Headlight

Hey guys ive never seen this before and am curious what its for. Whatever it is it isnt affecting the headlights in any way or my fog lights. The previous owner looks to have broken off a piece of whatever it is.

Figured it out guys, nevermind, it's the temperature probe to show what the outside temperature is, the original piece attaches to the driver headlamp assembly but it just broke off.

Ambient temp sensor, bolts to the inside of your headlight.
