Hey everyone.
I’m having a really odd problem with my 2013 Laramie 5.7. I have 2 of the cigarette lighter power sockets, one in the front and the other in the rear. Both are on their own fuse. Every time it’s cold out, I blow the fuse on it if something is plugged in. If I plug the device (my dash camera) into the rear socket, that fuse blows as well. If I plug it into my buddies truck, no issue (also a ram 1500, 2013). So I know it’s not the device pulling too much power. And it worked for about 5 years without issue.
I’m going through fuses like crazy (20A Micro). This started happening this winter for some reason I can’t seem to find the cause. It only happens if the temperature is below 5c / 41f.
Does anyone have any ideas what would cause this? It’s really getting on my nerves.
