Did the oil today, going to start the detailing tomorrow. Probably going to split it up and do the bed first and the cab another day lol.

I'd agree with splitting up the clay bar / waxing up.
I'd start with the cab first, starting with the roof at that.

Make sure you wax after you clay if you're going to split it up. You don't want to strip off all the protection from the paint and then let crud get back on it before you seal it up.

I'd say to return that Ice product and get the Megiure's Wax too...

I got this Ice product to give it a try, I always used meguires wax but this new stuff doesn't leave a white residue behind supposedly so I figured I would give it a go. I do like meguires wax though!

Plan is to wash first with dish detergent to remove the existing wax.

Then wash it with the armor all wash.

Then clay bar and polish with 3M compound.

Then wax. and enjoy

any other recommendations on my steps?

I have a three step program that will ensure success.

1.) Take that FRAM oil filter, and immediately throw it into the trash.
2.) Buy a quality oil filter, such as Wix, MobilOne, or similar, and install.
3.) Do that wash and wax stuff. :)

Seriously - get rid of that Fram.

"yeah, I am using this now for a '00 Camry.

I can't say enough good thing about this filter - FRAM have a great product now... too bad I didn't pick up more when Amazon had it for 5 bucks a pop. :)"

Anything you didn't like about the ICE?

Actually it is a very god product, but my truck has some deep scratches and I am having a body shop redo the paint job and they suggested I switch to the Adams wax and products.
The Ice is very easy to use, leaves no white residue (which on a dark colored vehicle is very nice), and lasts for several weeks. If I were to say anything bad about it, it would be that it does a poor job of getting rid of scratches and swirl marks. Looks great after application, and the water just will not stay on it at all. Good product and I trust the turtle wax brand, but this time gonna take the bodyshops advice.

Wanted to add this: where I park my truck it is very close to a shipyard and when the wind is just right we sometimes get overspray on our vehicles. The body shop that recommended Adams let me know the overspray will be easier to remove when I use Adams products. I bought a cover for my truck just because of the shipyard.

Hey, it's your truck! :) If you're happy with it, that what matters.

I've seen such crappy construction of Fram filters that I wouldn't care if it is their ultra premium gold plated super dirt magnet filter. That video is akin to believing that with enough analysis, it's possible to pick up a **** by the clean end. But, that's me, and ain't no Fram going near my truck. :yucky:

My porter cable saved my arms, first time using that bad boy. If you guys don't have one you should hit up Nick from Adams Polishes and get yourself the porter cable kit.

Man that thing saved me about 1-2 hours in polishing and waxing! If only I had some cotton terry pads to remove the polish and wax after applying and working with the foam pads. oh well. my arms aren't tired so thats all that matters I guess.

Nice truck, but as with any very light colored vehicle the shine is muted in sunlight. Most dark vehicles shine like crazy in sunlight.
