So quick question. I have a 2015 Big Horn 1500 with quad halogen lights. I'm not mechanically inclined to do a HID upgrade - so confusing and too much work and no tools - plus I've heard the HID's don't play well with the 2015. So here is the Q:

Can I buy OEM or aftermarket projectors, the whole housing etc, and just swap them out with NO mods of any sort? As simple as taking old ones out and putting these in?

And after searching other threads here now I'm not sure if I have dual or quad halogen. How can I tell? (This is why I need as simple as possible). A buddy who is very mechanically sound is helping install, I just have to buy them and make it easy for him too!

Something like this:

For quads vs duals, it's pretty straight forward. Are your low beam bulbs the same as your high beams? If so, you have duals. If there are a different set of bulbs that light up for your highs, then you have quads.
I believe that 2013+, duals are not an option. Only quads or projectors.

If you want to do an oem projector replacement, I believe you will need a harness from Jeremy are Retroshop. Should run you $100 roughly since you do not originally have projectors.

I may be wrong, but it you go aftermarket, I believe it is simply a plug and play. Minus any drl or halos that you may or may not want to wire in

I did this exact mod added OEM projector headlights and they look great second truck I change headlights on. Unfortunately they won't be plug and play.
To make it easier on you, buy a set of oem projector headlights, and order a set of 13+ harness from retroshop it will run you for $135 with shipping.
Once you have that harness for the most part it will be plug and play. You will need to mount two resistors on each side to metal. Other than that you follow the instructions and they should be up and running
Good luck

Thanks for the replies. I'm gonna call retro shop and see. I like the looks of the ones in my first post too.
