So far I still have the only Power Wagon my local dealership has ever sold.
I have received a ton of compliments about it.
Then I see a guy down the street bought one too, only to realize that it's not a Power Wagon.
It's a BigHorn with bigger tires and Power Wagon decals on it.
It's not even a 2500!
WTH?
I'm aware that not everyone can afford (or needs) a PW but why pretend your truck is something it's not?
( Plus his BigHorn is a perfectly nice truck in it's own right)
Anyone who would be impressed by a PW most likely knows the difference so you just come off like a dipstick.
Rant over...

I think you should be nice and add some Hellcat emblems to his truck to make it more authentic
Seems the trend around here is to put Hellcat or Demon emblems on vehicles that are not.

We live in a Social Media world that's completely fake.
No one ... OK, a few ... live like they represent themselves on Fakebook and Instagratis (my nicknames for those platforms) ... as they grow up, this 'fake' ... oh, wait, it's now called "Meta" ... world is seeping into their real life.

Sad ... but it's also kinda funny to those in the 'know' to see these fakes ... but don't let the fakers see you laughing at them or they'll find a way to cancel you :Nonono::mad3:
... although I'm betting you're not someone who can easily be cancelled. ;)

On the note of serious performance vehicles, my friend and I spotted this high performance cavalier while we were in Colorado about 5 years ago. Wow, what a sleeper, and eco friendly!

Hopefully he doesn't think he bought an actual Power Wagon.

That will be the sad part if he bought it thinking that. Back in the day I thought all Chevelle's and Camaro's were SS. Everybody bought those emblems and put them on! LOL

People will buy a fake Rolex and wear it proudly. Doesn't bother me one bit. Lucky for them they don't know the difference between a sweeping second hand in an automatic movement and the tick tick one second tick of a quartz.

People stick an M badge on the trunk of their 3 series. That's fine too.

Take it a step further. People drive a three ton SUV with huge wheels and tires and a 600 hp engine and think they are in a Porsche. They paid a lot for it, it *says* PORSCHE on the trunk, and the bought it at an official dealer.
I just chuckle.

I own a REBEL GT 1500 because I wanted a comfortable sport truck. One that looked and drove a little more rugged than a car. One that will get up and effortlessly go, but lets not ever think it's fast, lol. The interior of the GT is VERY nice, more like a high end SUV with a bed than a truck. (I'd take this vehicle all day long over an X5.

I drive a BMW sedan as a daily driver. The REBEL is the campus hauler, the weekend warrior, it goes skiing, camping, to the athletic fields.

I hate to say it here, but for WORK work we buy no frills Chevy 3500HD's with the DURAMAX diesel and Allison transmission. Strong and bulletproof yet easy to drive and maneuver the way we have them set up. We spray pesticides and have a fleet of them. They carry a lot weight that's actually a live load and are more than up to the task. You can't find a better truck to rely on for work. Throw a play on one in the offseason and the thing is a beast... More a commercial plow than a landscaper plow.

I say live and let live. Your power wagon is the real deal. It is a beautiful truck. Ram did a great job with that package. You know yours is authentic and that is all that should matter.

I'm sure that bighorn with tires and decals makes your neighbor happy. There is an old saying you know..... ignorance is bliss.....

The dealership I bought my truck at had a ton of Hellcats on the lot an a couple football fields of trucks in their back lots.

They also had a JEEP outlet with tricked out wheels an lifts My 1500 was ordered in regards to attract someone that wanted a performance truck and the JEEP and Hellcat techs set my truck up to be a Power Wagon-ish truck with the mild lift and soft suspension , it is more of a street truck it doesn’t have the Power Wagon badges or decals but they insisted because it was ordered with blacked out badges that I needed to have them installed .

It was delivered the day before I was there and had been to the tire shop to get the BFG -KO2’s 10 ply mounted on 17 inch Method aluminum wheels it was parked right in front of the show room sort of hiding in plain sight
She looked really clean and plain but the tire and lift made her look a bit more capable.

Whatever floats the boat, it's no skin off my nose if someone wants a Power Wagon and can't afford it (or to run one with the fuel prices these days) and puts the PW decals on their truck for giggles. If I had money to burn, my 1500 and shell would be painted to look like a Puddlejumper from Stargate (and I would absolutely keep my Tolkien based vanity plate). But then I'm also a shamelessly proud old nerd/geek.

From a bare bones Tradesman to a fully loaded Limited it's the same basic Ram truck just added upgrade parts. My loaded '17 Big Horn suites me just fine.
