Happy first time Ram owner! 2016 Express, 4x4, 3.6, 20K miles - great deal in Maryland.

Looking to level out and a buddy of mine recommended Quick Struts for 2' up front.

However, I read some reviews and many folks said the Ranchos ended up sinking to a total of 1-1.5' ...

Should I go in a different direction...suggestions?

EDIT: ** Should probably add that I'm not planning to do any crazy off-road stuff --- just hunting down in Georgia on mostly flat land... Mostly on road / highway driving.

Thanks guys!

OK - I'll follow up and see about the Bilsteins. Thanks!

I have used them both on this truck Ranchos and Bilsteins. Quick lifts and Bilstein's set at 2.1 were both about the same height on my light Reg cab short bed Hemi. Mine didn't settle at all on the quick lifts. Problem is with the quick lifts is one set is all they offer meaning the springs are supposed to be right for a reg cab short bed with a 6cyl and a crew cab with a V8. I dont feel one spring is right for all of the combos of trucks Ram makes in a 1500 and apparently neither does ram . They have a number of different front springs for our truck depending on what the weight hence so in mind I feel quick lifts would have to settle on some. I found the Bilstens had a little better rebound control but then again you use your OE springs on the 5100s. I don't think every one takes that in consideration when mentioning how much they settle , they almost have to as no spring can fits support all combinations of our trucks

I just added the Bilsteins set at 2.1" yesterday. Got it aligned today and couldn't be happier. 81f3e9e7e44a293f2d081d854f98f2a5.jpg

Hey, thanks man, I'm pretty happy with it. The wheels are 20x10 with -24 offset and the tires are 305/55 Falken Wildpeak AT3w. I believe the tires are roughly 33x12s if I remember correctly. Oh, the truck is a 2015 Express.

The slots on the shocks for the snap rings don't look like they are in the high setting nor does the picture look like 2.75 unless its just me? Are ya sure ya went the right direction with the snap ring , lowest is probably stock height ? I am guessing 2.75 is about the tallest setting. Looks just like a Bilstein shock

Yes I'm sure. The Eibach springs are longer than stock. You only get 2 positions to use with them. The lowest is 2.75. next one is 3.5 and the third can be used if you have heavy aftermarket bumpers installed.

It's called a yard hydrant. The valve is about 2ft down in the ground in stone. It's freeze proof. Water drains down in the stone when you shut it off.

I was wondering if the different springs alone were responsible for some of the 2.75 lift. I bet 3.5" would really max things out considering its accomplished with a leveling type kit.

I think your right, from my understanding if you buy the strut with the coils the minimum lift is 2.75", if you don't buy the coils then you have more settings.

did you install yourself?
Yes. I did have access to a wall mounted strut compressor to assemble the new struts. I didnt think the set I had at home could handle the Eibach springs.

I installed Bilstine 5100s @ +2.8" about 45k miles ago and still love them [emoji1303]
Mine has sagged about 3/8" , and this is due to the coil spring wearing in as all coils will sag a bit over time .
