Lore really loud clicking noise on start ups. Goes away after truck warms up. Then can only be heard while accelerating. Known ram issue. They're over torqued from factory. My other truck never had this issue and it was 5.7 1500 2013.

But my 2012 did. It's a common HEMI failure in 4th Gens.

Put me in a loaner. I'll be burning the tires off a 2015 Ford Expedition XLT with Eco boost. .... Still no word on how to proceed from FCA.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one to have such good service from my dealer. Good luck bro and keep us informed.

Called me this afternoon. FCA was unable to advise them how to proceed. It's been moved up to their Engineering dept. I haven't stopped by yet, but the service Mgr explained that the bracket doesn't sit correctly and the trac bar won't mount properly if they tried to install it. He didn't want to shim it since he thought it would compromise the rigidity of the mount.

He went on to say that my lift kit has nothing to do with this issue.

Since I have an acceptable temporary replacement for my truck they can take their time and do it right.

I'll keep updating as I get them.

I am leaning they give you a buy back offer than have a one off engineering repair.

Got it back this Afternoon. FCA engineering advised them to shim the bracket and move forward with the recall.

Why is its FCA's problem that someone modifed their vehicle? They sold you be vehicle that was a specific design, they are willing to repair the orginal designed vehicle but someone modified it. How is it there problem??

I run into this everyday, it's not my problem you modified it. If you don't want to remove the mod or pay me to remove it don't complain and move on... Its about liability and the fact that it's not our problem..

The OP's mods have nothing to do with the recall. If I read it correctly, the problem for completing the recall would still be there modded or not.

Where did I mention that it was FCA's problem the recall wouldn't work due to my suspension modification?

The only complaint I had was regarding the service department not getting my vehicle in on the day of my scheduled appointment. They admitted their mistake and made it right. I didn't buy my truck from them and I still got a extremely suitable loaner vehicle.

All of my posts regarding this issue were updates to those who have the same recall.

I would suggest that you read a thread in its entirety before posting nonsense.

It wasn't directed at you. I had mine completed about a month ago. I made an appointment with a dealer I didn't buy it from and went in that morning to drop it off at 0800. I as met by the service manager who had a rental/loaner waiting, I didn't even ask for it. They said that it's the second one they have done and the first one took all day. He said it should be done in one day. I asked them to take as much time that needed and all I ask is do it right the first time. They called me at 1630 and said it was down and I can pick it tonight or the next day in the AM.

Moral of this story is don't **** them off while they have your truck or **** them off and play the what did they do to my vehicle guessing game..... Things happen and you have to be flexible rolling to left or right as needed. :baby:

********! I can't tell you how many times a dealer pulled the same crap on me. I make an appointment for a certain day and time that fits both our schedules, I expect my truck to begin its servicing within minutes of said date and time, not 24+ hours later because the shop overbooked, or one of their guys broke a finger nail.

I am self employed and get paid by the hour, if I don't work, I don't get paid and as the customer, my time is WAY more valuable than theirs. If my truck is late being delivered to me it COSTS me something. If they play grab ass when they're supposed to be working on my truck it doesn't cost them anything, UNLESS I ***** about it and let others know that maybe they should take their truck somewhere else. That's how capitalism works. PM me if you live in MN and want to avoid this dealer.

For the record, I'm the OP and my post was to warn others that FCA tried to get out of completing the recall on my truck due to my leveling spacers, even though the spacers do not impede the installation of the track bar bracket.

I haven't had any issues and If/when I do there's a dealer on every corner. If I continued having the same problem with people maybe I would start to question if it's me and not them....

Not where I live Jack. Closest one is 45 mins. each way, next closest is 1.5 hours and then it just climbs from there. We don't all live in metropolitan areas.

Wait a minute. Your complaining that the dealer didn't start right away, within minutes of your arrival. But why didn't they start, was it their fault?? Did they put the lift on??

Life's full of inconveniences.

Not to put too fine a point on this but, apostrophe "s" ('s) makes a word possessive. So your sentence reads "My life is full of inconveniences".

That is one thing I miss with my Toyota Tundra, the dealers around here treated you the same whether a paying customer or warranty work when it came to scheduling. None of this "will get it in a few weeks" crap FCA seems to be good for.

Guys, it's your dealers. Mine got me in early for the R46 prior to leaving on vacation. Appointments have always been on time and loaner vehicles always available. Also, someone stated that he thought the steering was tighter. That's the initial feeling i got as well. So far, after about 1300 miles of towing and much on quite rough roads, everything in alignment and handling great.

Just to add another data point, I had my rig in for service and the bracket inspection recall yesterday. The stated since it has "a lift kit".....leveling kit......Ram wouldn't let them do anything with the bracket. They said it looked fine and there should be no issues but I did get the whole "lift kit" line.

There is a note on my service printout that reads "vehicle has been modified with aftermarket components".......awesome. lol

If the lift / level doesn't interfere with the bracket installation they have to install them.

My RC 5" had no issues accepting the brackets.
