I have a 2015 Ram 3500 6.7L Diesel. Bought the truck from a friend this past May. He had the recall 67A completed Nov '23. I drove the truck from PA, where I purchased it, to Florida. Since I purchased it I have driven it about 7000 miles with no signs of trouble.

On Nov 6, 2024 I got a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P20EE for the SCR NOx Catalyst efficiency below threshold on bank 1.
The dealership replaced the SCR assembly and the DEF injector under the extended warranty. Same code returned a week later.
All the while I kept getting the SAME code after having had these parts replaced.

Dealership made a "Star" request to Chrysler for authorization to further diagnose / repair the problem. The dealership got approval to replace the system out NOx sensor. That was a week ago and the SAME DTC returned 2 days ago! So now I have been dealing with this for almost 2 months!

Is there no fix to this system? Has anyone else had a similar problem? Has anyone gotten it fixed?

Could be the DEF pump or maybe bad DEF? You could try draining the DEF tank and putting some fresh DEF in? (do not over fill, just add a couple gallons) If not Take it back and tell them to fix it, or maybe try another dealer. Careful they don't try and tell you it's contaminated DEF, they will put that bill back on you

They say they tested the DEF and supposedly ok. I'll buy some new and change it out. I'm getting ready to have it defeated. (Deleted)??

If you delete it, be prepared to void your extended warranty instantly.

There are a lot of things that could go bad. Typically replacing the SCR cat fixes it, but dealers have also had to remove the ammonia sensor and block it off to fix it as well. Also, make sure you're using good DEF that's still in date. I always tried to use DEF from a truck stop since it gets refilled frequently.

Interesting. Upstream NOx has gone out a couple times already. I would not think P20EE would be related.
