I have not had anytime to examine the brackets on my running boards, but has anyone raised them or does anyone make a bracket to lift the running boards?

Seems like they hang too low like a pair of old man balls. I hit them just going over curbs.

I was able to use 2500 brackets on my 1500. The can be trimmed and drilled to go as high as you want.

Are 2500 shorter or you bought them so you don't have ruin your stockers?

The 1500 brackets bolt to the pinch weld, which would cause rust. The 2500 brackets just bolt to the inner rocker. I had to trim 1 or 2 of them on the vertical part to get them high enough. Then I also trimmed the horizontal part on all of them so I could slide the boards in far enough to protect the pinch weld at the bottom of the rockers.

That must be why my old man balls don't rub on the curb. I had them trimmed a long time ago but back then we just called it a vasectomy
