The 14.1@99 was an 8 speed truck, so it was likely a couple tenths faster than an 09-13.
For what it's worth, my 2011 Express with 3.92 gears went 14.37@94mph straight off the showrooom floor. That's the closest thing I have to a baseline.
I'm confident that with a real tire on the back of the R/T, and racing on a day where the wind isn't blowing directly at the starting line at 15-18mph, my truck is likely a 13.3-4. Guess we'll see though.
That's a pretty fast baseline.
Yeah mine on stock trim, tool box full of stuff and not worrying about weight i was at 14.6 bone stock.... pretty much how i drive it around. My biggest problem is traction. Even on aprepped track and new street rubber on them heavy ass 22's i still cant get traction through the 60'
Still havent picked up wheels and slicks, been to busy and didnt want them just sitting around drying out. Hopefully i can make it to the track tomorrow for some baseline passes in the charger.... ram needs to much adjusted and tires for a track day
14.6 is still pretty fast even considering the weight added--so one would assume all that weight taken out would closely match BlakDak's time above I suspect.
R/T is a nice truck. They do come loaded with a bunch of extra electrical gadgets and creature comforts if that's what you like. I bought an Express which can be had with the same drive train minus the extra weight and all the extra stuff that can break down.
Actually its funny you mention it because I am anti-technology and whatnot. I only ticked 2 options on my Charger because I cannot stand technology / useless-to-me add-on features. If I could buy a cheaper trim model and have the R/T badge'd grille, R/T wheels, and the rear bumper exhaust I'd probably prefer that. Just don't know if that would save me any $$$ in the end since I would want all the drivetrain stuff.
