I'm reading the text of the 10 year/100K miles warranty extension on the 2025 RAM. It specifically only covers the original owner! NOT TRANSFERRABLE!

How many of us actually keep their truck that long?

I do, mine was factory ordered and purchased 6 years ago when MSRP was lower and you could still get 10k off.

With today's prices? I bet more and more hang onto their trucks. Financial suicide not to, though many don't seem to care. Just keep shovelling hard earned cash into the void ...

I do. I like to run vehicles until the wheels fall off at least once.

I still have my 2006 Mustang. I just replaced my 2010 Town and Country in 2024. My 2018 ram is running fine with no plans of replacement. I replace things until it becomes too much trouble to keep them running rather than at a certain mileage or age. I only replaced the 10 T&C because Max Care paid me out the value of the vehicle rather than put a transmission in it and since it is my wife may driver I figured it was time. My 18 3500 has an 8 year max care on it and just got the 4 year drivetrain extension with 67a recall so I have no intention on considering replacement until 2030 or later.

BTW: one of the big deciding factor on the vehicle I bought to replace the T&C was a 10year power train warranty and I added on the 10year bumper to bumper coverage.

Nascar engines, are not Factory engines

Every Nascar engine has to be constructed from Billet Aluminum
Every engine has to have the SAME Cubic Inch & SAME Horse Power

when they made this video, ( 2024 )
all engines made 650 Horse Power !!

While all NASCAR Cup Series cars use a V8 engine with a 358 cubic inch displacement, the engines are not identical across all manufacturers (Ford, Chevrolet, and Toyota). Each manufacturer has its own engine design and specific components, but they are built within NASCAR's prescribed rules and regulations
A typical NASCAR Cup Series engine. Builders:
Chevrolet: ECR Engines, Hendrick Motorsports.
Ford: Roush-Yates Engines.

A modern NASCAR Cup Series car has very few factory OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts. The only stock OEM parts are the hood, roof, and trunk lid, which are required to be from the manufacturer (Chevrolet, Ford, or Toyota). The rest of the car, including the chassis and most other body panels, is custom-built to NASCAR specifications.
