Pulled this off my 2014 express, used for 2 years and it worked flawless. This is NOT a cheap remote start! It’s plug and play, no cutting, no splicing. Has everything the box came with, including instructions and I even have the receipts. All you do is plug in the module and programs it for your Vin, then go through the step by step process and your done. Uses factory fob, 3x lock activated remote start and has custom time out settings and a kill switch/valet mode I believe. Comes with hood switch and other safety features I didn’t install and it’s all new in the box. I traded the truck in for my 18 Laramie and it came with remote start.

I paid $227 for it and I’m selling $150 shipped 2 day priority in the 48 continental states.

I have confirmed with Directed that this will fit basically all model years 2011-2019 ram 1500s, this also works with all 2500-3500 from 2013-2018 with and without smart key. So essentially this works with just about all ram models as its programmable.

Here is a break down of the models it fits.

Do you need to reprogram your factory fob?

Nope, you don't touch the FOB. All you do is program the DIRECT module and it plugs right in. It plugs inline with your OBDII so it pulls power and info right through it.

BUMP! Need this gone. I'm moving out of state in about 2 weeks and don't really want to take this with me! I have updated the compatibility in the first post... essentially it works with just about any 4th gen and 2019 1500s.

It will need to be programmed, and end users can no longer do it. They buyer will have to take it to a directed dealer to get it working.

Stupid question I'm sure, but If I also have a 2014 Ram Express would it likely work?

What I'm gathering you're saying is that I would have to pay additional money to the dealer to program it?

Any idea how much?

not a ram dealer but a Directed dealer...Best Buy could do it. I paid them once, 35 dollars, but they did it for free twice, just depends on the guys in the shop.

Since it used the factory fob... it’s whayever that distance is. If I remember it’s around 300ft or something. It’s the same as my 18 with the stock remote start.
