I got my Spintech put on Saturday along with the Magnaflow Y-pipe and it sounds absolutely amazing. I asked the guy that did the install how often he sees those mufflers come through there because they are a strictly Flowmaster and Magnaflow shop. He told me I was the second person to bring one through there. The previous guy had a Charger with 2 of them. He was really impressed.

Any drone?

heres the link to my exhaust. Flowmaster Outlaw Catback system. I did a full comparison video because I couldn't find anything really for this exhaust. Hope this helps some people. It is LOUD and I love it with not too much drone. If you're listening to music you can't hear much at all at highway speeds

Having a hard time deciding between the Carven R or Spintech 9000, any input? Leaning towards Carven but would love some opinions.

Currently just running straight pipes and it's a little much. Looking to bring the noise down just a little bit and get a better tone.

I just had the SpinTech put on. Initially wasn't super thrilled, but it may have been because it has been years since I've had an exhaust on a car. I have been liking it more and more each day. I want to have someone drive the truck around so I can hear it on the outside.

As far as drone.. I'm not sure what it is exactly so I couldn't tell ya. One thing I have noticed compared to other users is I have no idea when my MDS turns on, no change in the note that I can hear. Also on the highway at above 70 I can hear the exhaust rumbling at a very low note, it is taking some time for me to get used to it. Under 70 or so you can even hear the exhaust on the interstate.

So far each day for me it has sounded better and better! The first day it sounded bland to me and now it has a much more aggressive muscle type tone.

I also like the fact I probably dropped 50lbs going to this muffler.

I have had the SpinTech 9000 on my 2014 Ram for about 2 weeks.
Replaced stock muffler & installed custom Y-pipe also while retaining resonators.
Sound is great at idle & WOT.
Do not like sound at cruising speed around 1500 rpm.
If I had to do it over again, would have went larger 1-2 sizes to help with sound at cruising.
If you have a larger gear & tach closer to the 2000 rpm level it will sound fine.

That sounds pretty good Cameron. :favorites13:
I might go with the Flowmasters. Maybe one that's a little louder model for me though.

Putting the 18 on my 2013 Saturday. Mufflex makes a direct swap bolt on but Magnaflow is the exact same muffler minus the hangers and clamps and a few inches of pipe for 50% of the cost. Literally exactly the same muffler. The muffler shop I go to is charging $70 to have it welded in vs. the clamps and will make hangers and weld a piece of pipe to join the y pipe. So I'm still saving money over the mufflex and I don't even have to get my hands dirty. Plus I prefer a weld over a clamp any day. They ordered it for me now I know there is some mark up on that but he said they'll have it in there in 45 mins tops .. Cut the old out weld the new in. Either way both brands sound great just some insight I found while deciding which route to take. I'll post once the muffler is on..

Here's mine - straight pipe, resonators still in place.

It's actually a little too obnoxious, so I am thinking of adding a single in single out 3"/3" Spintech muffler to the intermediate pipe before the stock muffler location...

Just had my headers finally put in before Christmas. This is JBA ceramic coated long tube headers also titanium heat wrapped, JBA cat delete y-pipe, and magnaflo cat back kit. I want to do a better video when the weather gets better. Have to figure something out with the steering shaft though. When I corner right the header hits the steering shaft and causes a bit of steering lockup :sad72: which was a bit of a scary moment when I found out taking an on-ramp at 70k

Spintech

Guys thanks for all the info! Got my Spintech 9000's on today. I had purchased the magnaflow Y pipe but either got the incorrect size or the guy didn't know what to do with it because it's back in the seat of the truck. I can send it back, or is it something that I should have installed?

Sounds great with just the ST, but any help/advice regarding the Y pipe is appreciated.

Thx

As long as it's a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets you have the right size. Most likely the guy didn't know what it was for
