1976 Ramcharger rustbucket, quickly named Ferrous. 360 auto. Bought him cheap with the idea of putting his running gear under my '51 Ford (Henry). Rebuilt the trans on the tailgate. The swap wasn't gonna happen, managed a tiny profit when I sold him.
1989 Mitsubishi/Dodge Power Ram 50, 2.6 l (actual 2.55 or 155.9 cid.) So bland we never named it. My Bull Terrier parked his ass on the transfer case lever at 60 mph and I had to rebuild the hubs. To hell with it , bought a Jeep.
Spock: 1998 Roadtrek 19 footer, based on a Ram 3500 van. 318 auto. Second owner, fairly high mileage but reliable. Drove home from Ontario by way of Vancouver Island and Haida Gwaii. Several trips to our favourite campground at Tombstone on the Dempster and the South Canol. Damn good for 2wd. Next up: Inuvik and maybe Tuk.
Here he is, at rest for the winter:
Dangling block heater cords offend my sense of the aesthetic. Have to find aplace to put a surface mount.
Cheers
