I installed a Rancho Quick Lift in November of 2019 on my 2017 1500 Laramie. At first I loved it, the ride and the look was great. Here recently I was making a left hand turn in my neighborhood and heard a loud pop come from under the passenger side. Upon inspection after getting home I found that the plastic/nylon piece at the base of the spring was missing on the passenger side front strut. I drove back to where it happened and picked up the pieces. I contact Rancho, they cannot send a replacement until October 2020, none in stock. I inspected the other side and noticed stress cracks in the same piece, not happy. I have lost confidence in this product completely. As of now they will not refund me the struts, still working it. My options now are limited because I did not keep my old set up. I have chosen the FOX 2.0 system for my front, appears to be very solid. I hope I can prevent someone from making the same mistake I did. Rancho Strut1.jpg Rancho Strut1.jpg Broken part2.jpg Broken part1.jpg Rancho Strut2.jpg

Wow that's the first QL I've seen do that......

I used to have QLs on my truck but they started to get really bouncy like the shocks were done in them no matter what I turned the adjustment knob to. Went with 5100s at 2.8 and it's night and day.

The fox units are nice too[emoji106]

Have you sent them a pic of the broken cushion ? If not you should, Looks like the cushion for the bottom perch should be the same thickness all the way around as the bottom of your spring is flat, and not graduated like the cushion in your picture is made for Looks like the wrong cushion for your system... Just an observation from the pictures you posted..

I have been in contact with Rancho and sent them plenty of pictures. The bottom cushion/pad is made that way to distribute the pressure from the spring onto the plate evenly, according to Rancho anyway. These are less than 1 year old, no one like doing rework. I feel they could use a better material to distribute that pressure or design the plate like other companies to conform to the spring.

OK, so the Fox are not available right now, I have shifted gears one more time and going with Bilstein 6112 Strut & Spring Assembled Front Pair for 2009-2018 Ram 1500 4WD 47-242548 from Shock Surplus. Probably more than I need but no more playing around. Thanks for the feedback, this is a great site.47-242548-assembled_def67ff0-f9d0-444b-a220-719cb61ca4e2_1024x1024.jpg

I would not advise anyone to waste time with Rancho. I haven’t had luck with any of their products, most of which didn’t last long enough for me to actually put them to any sort of test. None saw off-road.
Rancho struts in the back of my 99 leaked after 1 year, the second set didn’t finish out the winter.
Put a set of QL’s on a buddy’s truck, same issue you got.
You get what you pay for really, but with ranchos being the red headed step child of Monroe, I will not be using them again.

Looks great, what size tires are those?
I could have gone with a larger size but I stayed with the stock size, 275/60 R20. I think they look perfect, doesn't eat up my wheel well and allows wheel travel inside with no rubbing. I have a Decked system in my bed and use my bed. Lifting a truck makes that difficult, my 2 cents anyway.

Was researching if there is anyone with issues with Rancho and found your thread. I have a '17 1500 crew hemi and have never pulled anything, off roaded the truck or did any heavy haulling and have officially replaced all (4) within the last (3) years. Attached pic is my latest fatality. They have a life time warranty and Summit keeps replacing them but you get stuck with the labor. Got a hold of their tech services group in Monroe, MI and they just hooked me up with a regional rep to try and do a labor claim. Had both front springs break and both rear shocks leak. Will see what happens......
