If you can swing it,i think you should go for it.A drop top Mustang even in their heyday weren't all that common,and it's definitely not going to go down in value.

Sunday we took a cruise from NJ to New York state, roughly about 90 miles there and back.
These are my friends cars. The nearest is a 1966 Dodge Coronet 440. Next to it is a 1967 Coronet 500. Then my 2006 Crossfire, barely visible. The other picture is when we stopped for breakfast in Warwick, NY.

Neighbor's son is selling this, asking 14K but sure he'd take less. Was thinking about it, but with two trucks and three MC's already, got no place to put it, guess I need a bigger garage.

That looks to be a really good buy.
Of course you'd want to check it over for things like "Bad" bodywork done in the past....
BTW it doesn't mean the current owner would actually know about it, if any of that exists but it does look good as is. As old as these cars are now there is no telling what's happened to them over time and TBH I'm still discovering things about my Sprint to this day.

This is a vid of it being test ran for the first time, had spun it over to get fuel to the carb but this was the first time it had hit with everything setup for a run.

Not yet - In fact it's been at the shop where the vid was made all this time since it's a body shop. I ran it a few times since to get some heat in the engine and it did seem to do better but the skip/miss issue is still there overall, meaning it will probrably need some work or just building period.

I'm waiting to get a shop built before tackling anything like that and I should be able to start on the shop in a few months at most.

Right now the car is just sitting in the dry where it is but some further body work will be done before I get it over here and start on all that.
I have confirmed basic functionality with the trans BUT checking was done with the rear wheels off the ground.
Need to actually drive it and see if it's working OK or is slipping under load before saying it's actually working.

All the rest you'd expect goes along with it and it's just a matter of having a shop now (More or less) to get things done.

This guy comes to our local car cruise on Wednesday evenings.
All original 1969 Shelby G.T. 350. The owner bought it brand new and has all of the documentation.
The interior looks green, but it's actually saddle color.
