Needs to lose the scoop, but other then that,it's a good looking AMX.

The 1974 AMC Javelin was the end of an era — and AMC made sure it went out with a bang.
This was the final year for the Javelin, and by now, it had fully embraced its wild side: flared fenders, aggressive grille, and a silhouette that looked more race car than street car.
Under the hood? You had options — the mighty 401 V8 being the top dog, turning this compact coupe into a freeway missile.
And if you went for the AMX package, you got rally stripes, beefed-up suspension, and that unmistakable road presence that made the Javelin a favorite of SCCA racers and rebellious gearheads alike.
It wasn’t about refinement. It was about rebellion.
While others were dialing back, AMC was turning it up to 11 — even if it meant going out swinging.

My little brother showed up at our anniversary party Sunday with this 1969 455 Toronado he just picked up...
(54k on it)

The original torque steer car, lol. I always liked the flat floor they had. Being a 69 it'll still have the higher compression 455,so it should roast the front tires for a block or more ;)

If the car is as good as it looks in the pic's,it's a bargain at 14K

Yeah - it is, I was pretty surprised at the condition of it. The interior is showing its age, dash pad and center console armrest has some sun fading and discoloration, but the dash surprisingly isn't cracked, and the door panels are still in nice shape. You can see some of it in this pic. Too bad it's not a '69 or '70, I'd be all over it. Had a '69 Mach 1 before my 'Cuda, back when I was young and good looking, those days are long gone.... ;)

(Orig post edited for brevity)

Forgot I had this pic, friend of mine's "69 AMX. He had a '67 Charger, 383 back in the day, lost control of it and took out about 6 or 7 posts of a split rail fence, the car looked like someone shot it with half dozen arrows. LOL. Thankfully he survived with just a broken leg

If you can swing it,i think you should go for it.A drop top Mustang even in their heyday weren't all that common, and it's definitely not going to go down in value.
