Hey Ram family!
I’m putting out a call for help for a huge supporter of the Ram community, Randy Ellis Design. As many of you know, they’ve done some pretty terrific things with respect to building lighting solutions for Ram trucks over the years, and their fab shop is terrific at building solutions that are backwoods ready and tough as they come. I’d like to see if there’s anyone who can help them out with a new problem: the 2025/2026 model year Ram HD trucks.
Bottom line is they need someone in or near Phoenix, AZ with a 2025/2026 HD truck with the sensor package in the grill. See the area circled in Red in the image below for what I’m talking about. It’ll be used for two things: determining if the current light bar setup interferes with the sensors, and if so, giving them an opportunity to build a work-around that won’t interfere.
They should only need the truck a few days depending on how it goes, and the truck won’t be harmed in any way during the testing. They won’t even take it out on the road as everything they need can be done at their shop. They may need a couple of visits if they have to prototype something up and then test it again.
So what do you get out of this deal? Honestly, nothing. Maybe if you’re extra nice and accommodating they’ll offer you a discount on the resulting hardware maybe, but that’s between you and them. Really you’re doing this for altruism purposes and to be part of the Ram community. You’ll also be helping out countless people like me who want a Randy Ellis lightbar but don’t know if it’ll actually fit or work.
What do I get out of it? Essentially nothing again. I’m keenly interested in adding their light bar to my under-construction 26 Power Wagon, but none of us know if it’ll work in its current incarnation. If they decide to build a solution for the sensor-equipped trucks I’ll be first in line to buy one, but I’ll be paying full boat just like everyone else. I’m just trying to help them get to a solution so I can buy it. Unfortunately I’m halfway across the country or I’d volunteer my truck for this. So I’m putting out the word, that’s all.
If you’re interested in being a participant in the testing, please reach out to Randy Ellis Design directly here: Team RED

Have a great day everyone!
Michael
