Hey Guys.. just wanted pass along a tip for anyone who needs to replace the locking-latch on their rear sliding-glass. I've had to replace the locking-latch a few times on my '95, b/c the plastic latches are designed to fail at the hinge & at $35.00 a latch they're not cheap to replace. So I've been searching for a replacement latch that'll actually last and i've finally found a latch that's made of metal so it won't easily break. However, there's a down side b/c they claim it's a direct fit for a 2nd-gen, but it doesn't actually fit until you enlarge the screw-holes on the small secondary tab that comes with the main latch, so it'll line-up with the screw-holes on the sliding rear glass. But it's easy fix since I was able to the job in about 20 minutes.
I found the latch on Amazon & they cost about $12.00 each. It's a affordable aftermarket latch for anyone who needs to replace their locking-latch. Here's the link & hope this helps.
